I had the pleasure of attending a Bob Brown Puppet show over the December break at the Children's Performance Series at Old Town Hall in the City of Fairfax. Mr. Brown's Puppet show was one of the most amazing puppet shows I had ever seen. I was completely amazed at how Mr. Brown brought the puppets to life. The music, skits, and puppets were so fantastic; they fit together perfectly. Mr. Brown's performance kept me and my son on the edge of our seats and fully entertained during the entire show. The music was so lively and upbeat and the puppets were so funny, my eyes were glued to the show. It is evident that Mr. Brown loves being a puppeteer and has mastered performing with his puppets. If Mr. Brown performs his puppet show in the Fairfax area again please don't miss out, you will not be disappointed.
After the show I had the opportunity to speak to Mr. Brown, he was so nice and cheerful. I discovered during my conversation with Mr. Brown that he regularly performs a Tiny Tots show for the Puppet Co. located in Glen Echo, MD, and he also performs puppet shows for birthday parties. The Tiny Tots show is designed for younger theater patrons, ages 2 - 4, with a viewing atmosphere perfect for toddlers, their parents, and caregivers; to include shorter shows under 30 minutes, no dark room, no loud noises, and the theater doors stay open. Tickets are $6 for all ages. For those with children over the age of 4, the Puppet Co. also offers other shows that are appropriate for ages 4 and older.
