We might just be hungry today, but we decided it was a great time to recognize five of the foodie holidays celebrated in December ... and also highlight the local Fairfax-Burke-Oakton-Chantilly, VA area businesses that make these foods best:

5. Hamburger Day

Is there anything better than a BBQ Bacon Cheddar burger at The Burger Shack? We certainly don't think so! National Hamburger Day is the perfect excuse to take off from a night of cooking and treat the family to dinner out at The Burger Shack in Chantilly, VA. Yum. Never mind that there seems to be a few Hamburger Days throughout the year ... we choose to celebrate them all! Dec. 21
