With each New Year, thoughts of fitness and health start to enter our minds.  Many of us start to think of the goals to “get healthy” or “lose weight” or “tone up.”  But, if you are a Mom – the next thought might be - HOW?  How can I reach my goals when I barely have time to TAKE A SHOWER let alone go to the gym or workout?  And how in the world do I have time to scour Pinterest and Google looking for healthy meals my kids will actually eat?

After having two kids, the thought of New Year's resolutions seemed daunting.  And this is where the idea for PowerFull Fitness began.

As moms, finding the time to take care of ourselves is very difficult.  What if there were more options?  For some moms, gym child care doesn’t work.  So what if moms could workout prior to the little ones getting up or before heading out the door to work?  That is what the Early AM Express Boot Camp is designed to do.  Get the workout in and over before anyone else in the house is awake.  Or what if moms worked out with the kiddos beside them the entire time? For our Mommy and Me classes, moms workout and kids play/run/jump alongside them.  The kids get in a workout from all the playing and they get to see their mom striving for a healthy life.  These classes are offered during all times of the day - morning, midday, evening, and weekend!  There really is something for everyone!

As a member of PowerFull Fitness, you receive a number of perks.  Everyone who signs up gets meal plans, at home workouts for between class sessions, and DAILY mini fitness and nutrition challenges in our private Facebook group.  I research and send moms simple recipes that are family and time friendly, I provide moms with workouts that are time sensitive, and I offer lots of outside fun.  We have events such as seminars with a nutritionist and story time with a local produce stand. (Nalls Produce has been awesome at working with us!)  The more perks and resources each mom has, the better equipped she is to make the decisions that are best for her family.

Most important, my primary goal is to provide group support and sense of community.  When moms come to my classes they meet new friends in the same life stage!  The moms can relate to each other, talk about common problems, and share and inspire one another.  I'll admit it– I don’t always wear make up to teach classes, I don’t always match – but us moms don’t care!  We are in this together for the long haul and THAT is the support we all need in this FITness journey.

I thought it might be helpful to give the Macaroni Kid Readers a sneak peek of some of the PowerFull Fitness resources available to members.  These resources will be great tools to start thinking through your New Year's Resolutions.

In a PB&J rut? The first resource I would like to offer to assist you is my Lunch Packing Idea Sheet.  This sheet is awesome because it has great and easy ideas for healthy lunch box packing. Spice up your lunch menu in 2016 with these fantastic ideas.

Meet Laura Waller:
Hi! I'm Laura and I'm so excited to share my story and business with all of you awesome Macaroni Kid Readers.  A little about me.  First- I'm a mom to a little girl Elli who is 5 and Jackson who is 3!  To say the days are busy is an understatement.  I started out my career as a Kindergarten teacher, so organized chaos is the name of my game.  Once I had Elli, I took my love for high energy environments and started teaching group fitness.  I've been teaching classes for several years - classes such as kickboxing, boot camp, and strength and toning.  I am so thrilled to combine my love for kids and families with my love for FITness.  I understand that having time to manage it all is impossible, but I am hoping that I can help you just a little bit. Progress not perfection right?!?!
