Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey Circus is presenting Zing Zang Zoom to our area.  To kick off the festivities, the animals will march through our Nation's Capitol.  Don't miss Zing Zang Zoom's biggest stars as they parade up 3rd St., S.W./N.W. making a stop on the National Mall!

Saturday, March 20, 2010: Gunston Hall's 31st Annual Kite Festival

Gunston Hall opens its spacious meadows to the kite-flying public for its Annual Kite Festival, March 20 from noon to 5:00 p.m. Activities include a puppet show, hands-on archaeology, open-hearth cooking, and a modern-day fire truck. Bring your own kite or purchase one from the Museum Shop.  On-site "doctors" will mend kites free of charge. Costumed characters introduce 18th-century games, penmanship with a real quill pen and basket weaving. Food service is available for a picnic, and baked goods from the Gunston Hall Docents Association will be offered for purchase.  Event held rain or shine!
